Hello, folks. I am a big fan of cycling. I have driven a bike trough many countries and going to a new country is always a challenge for me. I would like to cycle trough Middle East. I am mostly concerned about safety in Iran. How will I manage there? Will I be jeopardized? Id like to hear some hones opinions. Thanks.

Hello, there. I am also a cycling fan. I drove trough Iran last year. Ive heard about bandits, but I havent got into any trouble. The thing that bothered me is heat. I recommend you not to drive at the mid day when temperatures can reach 45 degrees or even more. However, if you cycle early in the day, you may be a target of bandits. The main roads are in good conditions, that shouldnt worry you. Terrain is mostly in hills in west and flat in east. I hope youll have a safe drive! Good luck!
