Is it expensive to rent a new car in California?

Hi, Ill be going to California in a few days but as my car broke down just recently I will not be able to travel by car. I will be going by plane to Los Angeles and from there I would like to be able to go by car anywhere I want to. Considering that, I would like to rent a new car there and Im interested how expensive is it to rent a new car in California?

Hello, I can tell you right away that it isnt at all expensive. Car renting is a business that has expanded so much and now there are all these competing rental companies which have to lower their rental prices in order to survive in this business. Of course you have got to posses skills and patience in order to find the right rental company. Not all of them are inexpensive so go through all of the terms really carefully. The rates in California for renting a new car are somewhere around ten dollars a day. In some cities the prices are even lower. The price also depends on the time of year in which you plan to rent a car. In California, car renting is widely spread so I guess it wont be difficult to find the right car for an adequate price.
