| My sister has just come back from France. She seems to be really delighted with everything there so she keeps talking about it. Although she visited Paris, Nice and Marseille she regrets that she missed Lille. She said that there were many nice things to see there. Is Lille a Cultural Capital Of Europe? |

| Well, I am not sure about that. I mean there are many things there that can indicate that Lille is a very important cultural and educational center but to say that it is a cultural capital of Europe? ...I don’t think so. There are many other places on the continent that would deserve this title and Lille is not one of them. |

I agree. You can say that it has more educational importance than cultural. There are more than 97 000 students in the metropolitan area of Lille. It is considered one of the greatest student cities in France. Many universities, colleges and schools like Université de Lille I, (Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille (USTL), Université de Lille II (law, management, sports and medical faculties),
Université Charles-de-Gaulle Lille III (humanities and social sciences), ESA - Ecole Supérieure des Affaires (Business Management school), etc. make it a learning Mecca.
