Is Guam a popular destination for Japanese tourists?

My friend has always some crazy ideas. This time he wants me to accompany him to his “Japanese studies” in Guam. As far as I know, Guam is American territory and there are no Japanese people there. He claims that many of them are going there for a vacation so he will learn Japanese from some gorgeous woman from Japan. Is Guam a popular destination for Japanese tourists?

Yes, in fact your friend is right. Guam is a very popular destination for Japanese tourists and they go there in large numbers. So, his idea of “studying Japanese” may not be so crazy after all. Learning the language while you learn something new about a beautiful girl is the best way to learn foreign language (I managed to learn modest Italian that way). Go ahead, maybe you will find your Japanese teacher there as well!
