Is English in use in Chad?

a couple of friends of mine and I have been thinking of taking a trip to Chad this summer and we were wondeinring how would we get around with the language. Can anyone tell us is English in use in Chad? Thanks a lot in advance for your help. Bye

Hi,
I have just returned from my trip to Chad where I stayed for 2 weeks. It was a great trip and amazing experience, but i some diffculties with managing around in English. I mean, many of them know English, but only the basics and they prnounce it very bad so it is hard to communicate.

Hi, a couple of friends of mine and I have just got back from our trip to Chad. We had a great time there too, the country is really fantastic, but you have to be lucky to meet someone who speaks English on the street, so I suppose it will be hard, but nothing you can't manage. Have a nice time there.
