Is Casablanca in Morocco still too crowded during the summer season?

We are definitely going somewhere in Morocco during the summer. What I would like to know is whether Casablanca is still as crowded during the high season as it once was? Or is it safe for us to go now, in order to enjoy a nice and peaceful holiday (not in the hippy sense of the word!). Please give me some indications of what to expect.

I think that you will be quite alright. Morocco has been through somewhat of a revival when it comes to holiday goers recently, and even Casablanca has undergone a bit of a face lift. It is more modern now, in a bid to attract the modern tourist. Still, though, you will be able to find quieter places within Casablanca.
