Is Cancun Airport far from Playa del Carmen?

I will be going to Playa Del Carmen later this year and it will be my first time in Mexico. I just hope that I will have a great time there (and I should, considering all the stories I have heard about the place). Anyway, is Cancun airport far from Playa Del Carmen?

I think there won’t be any problems with that, since it will take only 45 minutes to Playa Del Carmen by a car. And you can taka a taxi at the airport; it costs about $80 dollars for up to two persons in one way. And I don’t think that is expensive, not when you know what awaits you in the city of Playa Del Carmen!
