Celtic heritage has always been very interesting to me. Thats why I want to visit the places where I can see some of it. Im trying to decide whether to go to Scotland or Ireland for a weekend. Both of them are full of interesting Celtic landmarks but I cant decide which one to visit. Help me a little. Thanks.

A tough choice, indeed. These two countries are similar in many ways and I dont know what else, besides Celtic heritage, is your scope of interest, but Ill try to distinguish between these two and point out at their differences. Ireland has a milder climate and only its coastal part is rugged with mountains, while Scotland has a harsh climate and its terrain is mainly composed of mountains. As you probably know Ireland is known as the Green Island, mainly because its fertile vegetation and vast plains covered with rich grass. On the other hand, Scotland, despite its relatively hostile natural environment offers many beautiful lakes, the most famous of which is Loch Ness, together with its imaginary inhabitant Nessie. Ireland is also a country in which religion, namely Catholicism, is very important. Hope this helps a bit!
