I am curious do I need entry visa for Uruguay-I am an American citizen and I am about to spend next 4 or 5 months in Uruguay for business so I would like to hear do I need entry visa for Uruguay. Also would like to get some further info regarding some other entry requirements for Uruguay –this is my first trip to South America though I was once at Caracas but I never went so far to the south so except this entry visa do I also need some vaccination?

I know that no entry visa is needed for stays up to 3 months but again I think that you may prolonged your stay locally in Uruguay afterwards but of course you still need a valid passport as well as a return ticket and some other documents that are actually sufficient funds related to your stay length. And as for the vaccination I think you need some certificate for yellow fever but I am not sure if this rule worth for US citizens or this is the must only for persons coming from an infected area.
