How to explore the northern part of Tasmania?

Tasmania seems like a nice destination. Few of my friends and I have decided to visit it this summer. We heard a lot of stories about it so we are eager to see everything. Can someone suggest me how to explore the northern part of Tasmania? We will spend three weeks there.

Tasmania is really beautiful and there are many nice spots for you to see and explore. You can find pretty towns and many rivers inland. However, you can find also good places to visit along the rocky and sandy coastline. Along the north coast there is the Bass Highway which provides an access to many places along the way. There are also other routes that lead off of this further south.
