How many days in Banff?

If you are traveling across Canada, and you have three weeks to see all you want in Canada I need to hear how many days would you spend on each place you want to visit. For example, How many days in Banff? Or any other place. What would you choose to spend most vacation days on? And you can give me a few hints on what to do there.

I dont know about Banff, but I know where I would stay the longest. That would be on kayaking. That is one sport I dont get to practice anywhere around my home town and the only time I can do it, is when I go on vacation. That is the reason I wouldnt travel much, but I would go to Granville Island and stay there for the rest of my vacation. I would paddle from this Island to Kitsilano and Jericho beaches. You cant even imagine what a fantastic view you can get from there! It makes my eyes watery just to think about it. But I guess Banff is not half as bad. I just dont know if you can practice kayaking there.
