How far is Trapani from Palermo?

At the moment I’m making the itinerary of my Sicilian trip. It would be, of course, impossible to go to Sicily without visiting its capital, Palermo. I also want to see some other coastal towns and villages and I know that one of the most famous is Trapani. Since I’ll land at Palermo and stay there for a couple of days first, I want to know how far this city is from Trapani.

I’m not sure about that myself but I think that the distance is about 80 kilometers. Don’t take me for granted about this information but I think I have read something like that. Anyway, there is a possibility to catch a flight to Trapani as there is a functional airport, though military, near this town and I think that you would get there in no time. I also think that there are budget flights. If you don’t want to fly, you can go by train as it operates on a regular basis and I think that there are departures several times a day. Finally, you can also rent a car and take the motorway A29.
