How far is Laguna Atacosa Wildlife Refuge from Brownsville, Texas?

I will spend two days n Brownsville, in Texas next week, and since I know that Laguna Atacosa Wildlife Refuge is somewhere in that direction, I would like to hear how far exactly it is from Brownsville, just in order to see if it will be possible for me to visit it.

I am not sure how far it is from Brownsville, but if you want, I can tell you how to get there from South Padre Island. I went there twice last year, and I have to tell you that it is one those kinds of places which are definitely worth visiting.

This is one of the most wonderful places in this part of Texas, and my advice would be to find some time to go there if you will be so close to Laguna Atacosa Wildlife Refuge anyway. As for the distance between the Refuge and Brownsville, I am really not familiar with this detail.
