How come Itacare is not that known to tourists?

hello,
I have been planning to take a trip to Brazil this summer. I have discovered Itacare, a perfect place for a great Brazilian vacation. I have really been wondering how come Itacare is not that known to tourists? have anyone here heard of this place before? Is there anyone?

Hello,
I suppose that you are familiar with the fact that Brazil is a poor and full of criminal country. Iticare is a small place and it is poor, this is why it is not that attractive to tourist s and it is not well promoted. Still, I had a great time there last summer with some friends of mine. Bye
