How can you get a British Passport?

Hi, Im writing an article about British Passports and I need any information you can find about how can you get a British Passport, how much does it cost to get a new one if youre already a British citizen. Also what are all the requirements for applying for a new passport. I know that the procedure is relatively quick but expensive but Im not acquainted with all the details so please help out!

Hi, well Im glad someone is writing an article on this matter because it surely needs to be mentioned. If youre not a British citizen, getting a British passport can really be a problem. People usually go for the desperate option of getting married with a complete stranger, provided that the complete stranger is a British citizen, and that way claim their new passports. Its a favor for favor kind of a thing and its an ongoing business. This sort of thing is known to be well paid for. On the other hand if you already are a British citizen and you just want to swap your old passport for a new one its a whole different situation. Currently Ive heard that people are complaining because of the new prices and its all thanks to the expensive way of making the passports. The procedure of getting a new passport is pretty quick which is a good thing. So even if you are British you have to pay in order to get a new passport. I hear that in other countries the price is symbolic but in Britain you have to think twice before applying for a new one.
