Is there anyone who has recently been Honduras, and who could tell me if people there really pay so much attention to the history and heritage? I heard that the biggest part of their tourism is based on their history and their cultural heritage, and that they have used it very well.

It is true. They have very rich history and their cultural heritage is unique. There are numerous archeological sites and ruins and many of them are great tourist attractions and main reasons why people come here. I went to Honduras just out of curiosity, but it was simply impossible not to learn something about their history, despite the fact I was not interested in that.
