| I am planning to go to Hawaii in several weeks. For the last month or so, I was going through all the fabulous hotels that there are, and I have reduced my list to two hotels: Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa, and The Westin Maui. I was pondering on both of them for some time, but I simply cannot decide. I would appreciate if someone could help me choose between the two. |

| I understand your problems. Indeed, these two are one of the finest hotels I have been in, not only in Hawaii. Grand Wailea is fantastic place to stay in. It is about a 15-minute drive from the Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary and Makena State Park. Kahului Airport is 20 miles away. It has a good location, and fantastic amenities that include even a waterfall! Service is great, rooms are very clean. Even though it has no obvious fault, I would still recommend you The Westin Maui, especially if you are going with your children. It has gigantic aquatic playground where your kids can enjoy themselves. Also, recently the hotel invested a lot of money in a new spa. In addition, there is very valuable art collection and that will certainly provide you qualitatively completely different experience you would not expect to get from a hotel. In that respect, and not only in that, Westin Maui is much more than a simple hotel, and with the unparalleled diversity it can offer I strongly recommend you chose this one. |
