I will travel to Italy to visit my family in Rome next month. I have been there a few times before, on the day that my parents moved from Germany and on one summer vacation. I know city pretty well so I dont think its good idea that I should spend my entire summer vacation there. I really have second thoughts about Rome, and I would like you to suggest me some other place in Italy for my vacation. I also have idea to take some cooking classes during vacation, if thats possible.
Most of the cooking schools are oriented toward longer courses. there are a lot of options where you go, stay in a villa in the countryside and have a week or so of lessons, but it is possible to take day classes - they can be fairly expensive. Some can be found in Bologna, Florence and Perugia. There are so many "must-see" possibilities in Italy that a week isn't enough - especially in a relaxed manner. I definitely suggest Venice as best summer solution for this year.
