Has anyone stayed at Hotel Le Regent in Paris?

My wife and I are going to Paris this later this year and I plan on surprising her with some New Year arrangement (she thinks we will go in November). So, I guess I am in a need of some good hotel there. I have heard that Le Regent should be very good place. Has anyone stayed there? What are your experiences?

I think that your wife would be thrilled with that hotel. It is a very charming place, 18th century residence located in Saint Germain des Pres, and very close to Les Deux Magots, café that is owned by the hotel owners. Seine and Odeon theatre are also nearby and that goes for Notre Dame Cathedral and Louvre too.
