Has Great Eastern in London turned to Hyatt?

I have heard that Great Eastern Hotel is taken by some other hotel company. Is that true? Has Great Eastern in London turned to Hyatt? It is not that I mind Hyatt, I know myself the quality of it, but I somehow think that Great Eastern is something of the Londons icons and that it should remain under its name. Do you have any info?

I have heard that there are some renovations going on, started at the end of June. I heard that only lobby should be remade, but I do not know if that has any link to changing name and owner. I have to say that to some level I agree with you. But, if changing the owner and style would make overall improvement, then why not. It should only be for better, not worse. Not that Im saying it is not a great hotel as it is. But Im thinking Hyatt is still Hyatt.
