Hi. Im in Italy at the moment with my husband, and its so beautiful here that we decided to rent a car and travel form Genova to Rome in order to enjoy as much as possible in the Italian Riviera. Is it too long a ride and is the road good? We plan to take turns while driving and I guess it wont be too exhausting.

The Italian Riviera is wonderful and youve planned a great adventure. But I still think its too much action, because its a long portion of the way. There is also the issue with heavy traffic on the Italian highways during summer, and wouldnt dare to do start such a long journey with so much road hogs all around. Maybe you could avoid the traffic jam by taking some other, alternative, back road that passes through countryside. I hate to be such a wet blanket and to rain on your parade, but Im always for safety in the first place. Perhaps somebody else who knows the route well has a better suggestion.
