| I am making a break in my studies that will last for around a year. I am planning on visiting major cities in Europe, perhaps Russia and a trip to Japan, as my final destination. Since I will be flying a lot, I was thinking about possible discounts and other benefits of constant flying. So, frequent flyers, what awards did you get? |

| Well, here is the basic. By frequent use of one (but only one) airline, you will make way toward so-called platinum, elite or gold status (different airlines, different titles). This enables you to have some discounts, free miles etc. Free miles could be exchanged for a free tickets etc. Anyway, even though similar, every airline has some different benefits so if you really want to find the best, you must put some effort into it. Especially because with smart choices of airline company, ticket class, status you will be chasing, you really can save some decent amount of money. I have around 60 miles and I am still thinking whether I should exchange it for free ticket on the next flight or save it for some other occasion. |
