| After Laos and Cambodia, my next destination will be Thailand. Africa and Asia have always attracted me more than the other continents, in the tourist sense, of course. I doubt I could live there. Has anyone gone to Thailand and what parts of it are most interesting for the visitors? Can you recommend a place to eat since I cant stand exotics in cooking? |

| Thai food is specific. I like it very much, but many people hate it because of herbs and spices they use. Some of the spices have very strong smell and test. Although, the basis of their cuisine is seafood and meat, the way they prepare it differs very much from that in Europe. There are some influences of China in Thai cooking, for example steamed rice combined with meat. Another feature which reminds of China is the mixture of sweet and sour. I suggest you to eat in Mc Donalds or Burger King if there is one. I think that I saw Pizza Hut restaurant. However, if you stay at a hotel, you will be able to choose between the authentic kitchen and the international one. |
