Now that St. Patrick has retired, the Avs still need a goalie.

well as long as they score more goals then they let in....

i have to wonder when they're going to let their rookie goalies get experience, it must be frustrating for them. i'm hoping they don't buy cujo... potvin might be an interesting idea though? he could keep the pucks out long enough i would think...

The Avs aren't going to use a goalie this season. They are going to pull all defensmen and the goalie and just put Sakic, Forsberg, Hejduk, Selanne, and Kariya on the ice at once. The other players get to take turns staying back and watching the empty net "just in case".

The average score next year should be something like:

Avs 23 Others 17

The best part is where Fedarov showed his interest and the Avs GM told him "No Thanks. We don't have enough money to go after big name players." Less then 24 hours later, he signs Kariya and Selanne. Sweet.

How would the Avs even sign Cujo anyway, he isnt a free agent and Detroit sure as h*ll isnt going to trade him to the Avs?!?!?!?

Runner X, I didnt know Fedorov expressed interest in the Avs (nothing mentioned in Detroit about it or on TSN)?? Its my understanding he wants to go to a team where he would be the go to guy, the teams superstar. He sure as heck wouldnt be that in Colorado, not with Sakic and Forsberg there.

actually, Detroit is like 90% guarunteed to sign Hasek. once Hasek says yes they're going to ask Cujo to wave his no-trade clause. in the meanwhile no one can plan anything because they don't know dom's decision.

and yeah, i like the 6 on 5 game... that'll open up the scoring.

I got that information from a Colorado radio station on my way to work. I heard it about 2.5 hours before the big announcement.
