I will be visiting Italy for the first time this year. During my trip to Italy I would like to visit Sicily too. What I would like to know is there any ferries from mainland Italy to Sicily? I thought that this would be quite an interesting way for traveling. If someone could give me info about it, I will really appreciate it

Well, as far as I know, there are some ferry boats from Genoa or Naples if you are visiting these cities. They are large and slow ferryboats, and I think it will take a lot of time to get there. If I were you, I would use some other kind of transportation, and leave the ferryboat rides to some other, shorter trips. My advice to you is to use a plane, that is what I would do if I were you, so this is what I wholeheartedly recommend to you. You may want to reconsider your decision, and take a plane or bus instead.
