Im going to Italy with my wife and two sons. Were going in our van and that means we can travel around the country and leave whenever we like. Still, we want to spend a few days in Umbria, because my wifes ancestry is Umbrian, and we need some information about family accommodation there. Wed like to stay at countryside house if possible.

Benvenuto! Umbria is a region in the heart of Italy. Its famous for its olives, wine and tobacco, not to mention green plains and hills. Its best to find accommodation, just like you want, at the countryside, because there you can see genuine spirit of the region. Cities are, no matter how beautiful, in a way sterile and all alike. There are beautiful countryside villas in Umbria. One of them is Casale di Bucole, a farmhouse restored into a luxurious mansion. Its located between Perugia and Todi, on a hill so that there is a glorious vista of this whole region. This villa has seven rooms and a swimming pool. I highly recommend it.
