We, that is, the whole family, have fallen in love with Scotland on our last trip there, and we would love to come back some time in the very near future. I have been researching Kirkwall as a destination and I have concluded that this is definitely one of the places we must go to. There are some comments about excursions elsewhere on the web. Have any of you done one of those, and were you satisfied?

Kirkwall is a lovely port city. Many cruise ships stop off there I dont know if this is what you guys have in mind? Of course, as a destination by itself Kirkwall is also reachable but there is nothing wrong with a nice cruise Smile. Myself, I did this a while ago now and I was impressed with the town. Its ancient artefacts and beautiful crafts, together with a long colourful history make this a place well worth visiting!
