Hello,
I have been thinking of taking a trip to Eritrea this summer with a couple of friends of mine and we are a bit scared of diseases, especially malaria, here. Can anyone give us some advice on this, any suggestion or experience? We would appreciate it very much! Thanks a lot in advance! |

Hello,
I am not sure what to tell you. Eritrea has a big problem with malaria not unlike whole Africa. This is serious disease and it can be fatal. Eritrea has succeeded in its national program of fighting against malaria, but this disease is still present, although in less serious form. I advice you to be careful and choose the time of the year for your visit carefully. |
