My friends and I are going next month in France. We are planning to take a little road trip through France and visit the biggest cities. One friend told me that it is not good to drink tap water in France. Is it true? All of your reliable advices are appreciated. Thanks.

Hello. I travel very often through France. I really enjoy in landscape of France countryside. I have also visited the most of their cities. Considering drinking tap water, I can tell you that it is safe as well as in the most countries. I didnt have any problems. It is safe generally in most part of the country. But it might be possible that isnt good in some part of rural France. I know that French people are very strict in the sanitary measures, especially with regard to water. Their water standards must comply with strict EU standards. You might found that water is different taste on different fountain. If you concern about your safety then the best thing is to drink bottled spring water. Have a nice time. Cheers.
