Downtown was crowded, where do I go next for a hotel room?

What to do when the downtown is crowded, where do I go next for a hotel room? I will be in Chicago next week, and I dont think I will have the time to search for hotel, online or any other way. Can you give me any information concerning hotels that are not in the centre of the town, I guess I will have more luck finding free room there?

In your case, I would suggest The Oaks Hotel and Conference center distanced from the downtown, but still not that far. It is a perfect spot for both business meetings and rest. It is relatively near to Midway and OHare airports and you can enjoy in shopping, dining and cultural moments of the surrounding area. You will also have shuttle vans at your disposal for 5 mile radius.
