Does everyone get into the Official Vatican Guided tours?

Hello to you all! Ill be in Italy next month and of course the Vatican is a must on the list of things to see. Only it seems you need to book months and months in advance to get into the official tour. Is there some way I can still get in, or should I take one of the other tours? Thanks for you tips in advance.

Why dont you send the request anyway and take your chances If you dont get in you can always go it alone or buy the audio tour for the museum which is in a way even better than the tour as you can take your time. The only thing about the official tour is, it does save lots of time on queuing up.
