In a nutshell, I finished in 26:31 which was 16 seconds over my PR. If anything could have went wrong it did. My freakin' shoe came untied somewhere shortly after the 2 mile mark (12:21 2 mile split) and after having to stop and tie it I became mentally untied. Lost my focus and struggled after that. And to make matters even more wonderful I had some dingaling woman decide she was going to draft me for over a mile and in the process trip me up and cause me to break stride not once but twice. She's lucky she was female and about 90 lbs because if she'd of been a guy she'd of been eating asphalt after the second one. I was in no mood for that crap. She apologized after the first one and wisely got way off to the side after the second one.

I finished 47th out of 247 total runners and 11th out of 26 in my age group.

Shocked

Good job on that race. Could have beat that PR if it weren't for those distractions.

Yeah... that would've backed her off! A little exhaust backfire. She won the women's master division - 50 yrs old and she hung w/me until the last 1/4 mile.
