Hello everyone! My boyfriend and I are going to travel to Munich sometime soon and he wants to go and see Ludwig's castles. That's fine with me, but I don't know anything about it. I hear there are a number of them. Can we go and see these in one day, as a daytrip? Do you have any suggestions?

It is possible to see all three of them in one day. But this would not be doing them a whole load of justice. I suggest you give it at least two days. Start with Hohenschwangau - the severe monastary/castle in which Ludwig was born. Then in the afternoon move on to Linderhof. This is the mini Versailles which Ludwig built using the French style as inspiration. The next day travel out to see Neuschwanstein and go up the Zugspitze.
