Hi! Whenever I mention that I am about to go to Africa next year, two weeks on safari with my boyfriend, my mum gets a panic attack and starts talking on and on about the dangers of mosquitoes and tsetse in Africa. There is no way that she's going to stop me from traveling, but is there anything I can do to ensure her that I will do all the necessary preparations? Btw what exactly should I pay attention to? Thanks.

Hi! Tse tse flies can infect you with African sleeping disease, and mosquitoes can do the same with malaria. A month before the trip the best thing for you is to visit hospital that deals with infectious diseases and ask doctor to give you all the necessary vaccinations and medications you might need during the trip. And after it, youll be safe.
