I am about to visit Ecuador and would like someone to help me on where to stay –Quenca or Quito? I have heard that maybe Quito would be better opt but the ting is that I am going to Ecuador not to visit a big city for I already live in one – I would like feeling more like in nature but yet again would like staying in the city so what do you think would fit me bitter Cuenca or Quito?
Quito is beautiful but I prefer Quenca for it brings a lot opportunity to see and what is the most important visit to Cuenca would help you relax. I hope you are ready to pay for the relaxation for they you may have some tour Quenca area around including camping in near El Cajas National Park that has more than 270 lakes of Andes origin I even was fishing there and the waterfalls are the most exciting. And Quenca itself is much interesting than Quido is if you ask me, there is a river Tomebamba and it separates the old part of Quenca from the new one and walking along its shore you reach some Inca ruins on its north bank. There is a Cathedral also in Quenca -the old one and the new one is located right on the beautiful Plaza Abdon Calderon. There is also a huge market place –Plaza Civica and that is where you could buy beautiful handicrafts. Anyway –Cuenca or Quito-it always depends on what you are searching for Quito is big and is modern so I am sure Cuenca is better choice for you at this moment.
