Cheap apartment in Amsterdam suggestion

Do you have any suggestion for my Amsterdam stay? I am touring Europe, Im a poor student so I need as much help as possible. Cheap apartment in Amsterdam suggestion will save the day and I hope this is not too much trouble for you, if you know the answer. I am willing to share the room (but not the bed) with anybody as long as it is cheap.

I wish I was that poor to travel across Europe for the summer. But I am just too old to be a student and too rich to be poor, when I come to think about it. But I remember the days when I was just like you and when I was more interested in the price, then I am interested in anything else. I can handle anything else, but it was the price I had a problem with. Anyway. There are some youth hostels that are pretty much reasonable priced. I will try to recall some of the names. Let say Aivengo Youth Hostel and Amsterdam Hostel Cosmos are the two you should check out.
