| Well, I have got some good and some bad news. Good thing is that you can get good discount if you go there during that season. The bad things are storms. Despite the gloomy outlook, there's no reason for you to skip a trip to a hurricane-prone area if you follow few rules. First, keep watching weather forecasts. Second, avoid mountainous or hilly destinations, where rain can bring about landslides and flood valleys. Third, the smaller the region you want to visit, the less likely it will be hit. Finally, storms weaken as they go north. Destinations to the north are usually spared a hurricane's full force. So there are two major advantages to traveling during the hurricane season: deep discounts and fewer crowds. One more thing, see that you buy travel insurance so you don't lose your money if your trip gets canceled. |
