Hello there. Ruslana here form Montenegro. For a long period of time me and my husband are planning to visit Scandinavia since we have our relatives residing in Sweden. We also want to see the neighboring countries, especially Norway. We would like to know when the best time of year to visit that country. Thanks for your answers in advance. Peace.

Hello Ruslana. You should definitely pay a visit to this spectacular country. Norway is a beautiful country and I must say that the greatest attraction is the country itself. I would focus on the natural sites, that is to say, on fiords and lakes. You have nice ones on the east coast. There is a wildlife "expeditions' organized outside Alesund in a high speed boats. Plenty of activities available ranging from fishing to visiting seal colonies. Also, you can enjoy birdwatching since there are numerous endemic bird species in these fioreds. Look up for the latest offering on the Internet. You will most certainly find something that suits to you and your husband. The best time is during the summer period. Gema!

I visited Norway as well. My husband and went there in order to spend our honeymoon. Most of the people would say that it is a rather strange tourist destination for such purpose, but on the advice of our travel agent we somehow agreed. I we did not regret for a single moment. Actually we are making plans to visit the country again, this time during the summer. As for the period of time for paying a visit – I would say that you can go whenever you feel like it. The winters are really cold in the central and northern parts of the country; however, this also can have its advantages. Nice snowy scenery can be aphrodisiac. Give it a chance. Enjoy.

Yes, I agree on this as well. Norway is a great tourist destination in every period of year. It is a wide country covering several climate zones. On that account, Eastern Norway, has a mild climate in comparison with the northern parts. The winters in this region are cold but dry. Southern coastal parts have temperate climate. The weather here corresponds to the weather in, say Netherlands or England. So If you want to spend nice summertime you go there in the summer period. On the other hand, if you are into winter activities, you can go there always. Both ways, you will like it. Cheshna.
