Beijing in 10 days

My wife and I were in Beijing last year, and we will go this year too for 10 days. We had visited all the usual touristy areas such as the Great Wall at Badaling and The Summer Palace. We were thinking about something like a tour thru Beijing tourists dont see that often. Can anyone recommend anything that's not too far from Beijing that would make a good day out?

Beidahe and Shanhaiguan. Qinhuandao, in the northeast of Hebei Province, is a tourist port city in North China opening to the outside world. Qinhuangdao has Beidaihe to the west, a famous seaside resort with soft and smooth beaches, a calm water surface and light surf. Beidahe is dotted with several scores of sea bathing grounds. Its not expensive at all, and it can be so much fun!
