Howdy, stranger. You are right. Beijing is a city of 12 million people. But, I hope you wont get lost there. It is a combination of ancient and modern. You should start your visit in Tiananmen Square. It is the center of China. It is also an entrance to the Forbidden City which is necessary for visiting. You should also visit Drum and Bell Towers. While in Beijing, you must try Chinese cuisine. I advise you to take Peking duck. You should make time for visiting temples as well: Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple and Confucius Temple. If you prefer shopping, then Silk Alley Market is a place for you. Some of the sites that you can also visit are: Beijing Opera, Great Wall at Mutianyu, Thirteen Ming Tombs, etc. I hope youll enjoy your visit as much as I have.
