Are the beaches in Bali ok now?

After that horrible tsunami couple of years back I am interested in Bali beaches. Are the beaches in Bali ok now? Last time I saw the report it looked fine, but I cant get those images from my head from 2001. I was there in 2000 and I was planning to go back, but after that disaster I was not so eager to go.

Tsunami happened in 2001 like you already know. The very next year that place looked like nothing ever happened. I was standing at the beach thinking about those horrible scenes we all saw and I couldnt believe that happened there. The sea was calm, the sun was shining and it looked like paradise. It looked so peaceful, but I know what can happen. Its been five years since that day and I am sure beaches are as clean as they were on that day. They have all these new warning systems and I am sure its time to go back.
