Are shops open on Easter Sunday in Paris?

Dear online friends! I am in desperate need of a holiday! I am a businessman and I have seen nothing but the inside of my office for the past six months. I go to work at 6am and dont come back home until 10pm or later. My girlfriend is threatening to leave me because she thinks I am having an affair. This is not true, and I want to convince her I still love her despite the heavy workload. The thing is, my only option is to get Easter weekend off. My girlfriend loves expensive clothes and other fine things in life and for her any trip will mean nothing unless shopping is involved. Are shops open on Easter Sunday in Paris?

Hi there, I am afraid I have to disappoint you. On Easter Sunday in Paris most shops are very definitely CLOSED. I know this as I went on a trip to Paris on Easter weekend a couple of years ago and I forgot about the whole Easter thing. I was about to hit the shops but was stopped by closed doors. I spent the day walking around being bored. Not recommended.
