Any cheap flights to Canada?

A very big hello to all of you here on this online community! A very good friend of mine has lived over in Vancouver for years and years. I have never really had the intention of going over there, being well aware that I don't have enough money for that kind of thing. Besides, I was wholly expecting him to come over to the UK regularly. As this is not happening, I am now considering going over there after all. The big question is whether there are any cheap flights though. Does anyone here know?

I have always used the website Expedia.com to book all my flights online. They do a very comprehensive price comparison and I have always been very satisfied with them. Any other websites I have come across have proven to be pretty useless. Often these websites are just pretending to offer flights, without any possibility of booking.
