A trip around Chile & Argentina?

I have arranged everything for two weeks of visiting South America. My girlfriend wanted to visit Brazil, but I have persuaded her to leave Brazil for New Year celebration (been there last year, amazing!). So, we are thinking about a trip around Chile and Argentina. What do you think about that combination?

I think that wherever you go in South America you are bound to have an excellent time. Simply, the mentality of the people there suits me and I always like to spend time there. I have been to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. Chile is next on my list. You should know that, if you are going to Buenos Aires, you will be very close to Uruguay (literally across the river), so you could go there too.
