A good restaurant in Sydney?

There are six of us going to Australia next month. We are a bunch of globetrotters who like new challenges. Except for the new challenges, new countries and new landscapes, we also like new restaurants. All of us like to eat decent meal so nice dining places are among first things we start to look for when we arrive to some new destination. Can someone recommend us a good restaurant in Sydney?

There are so many nice restaurants in Sydney. Depending on type of the food, atmosphere or location you can choose among really good choices. Here are some of my favorites. Home Thai Cuisine, Times On The Park, Bathers' Pavilion Restaurant, Catalina Rose Bay, Buon Ricordo, Essence, Il Vicolo, Pier, Sailors Thai. If I had to choose one, it would be Il Vicolo. The food is excellent there.
